Happy Children's Day! While today is traditionally a day to celebrate the little ones in our lives with gifts and treats, in 2026, a beautiful wellness trend is taking hold among active seniors: The Celebration of the Inner Child.
In our 90th post, we explore why reconnecting with your own sense of wonder and play is not just fun—it’s a vital strategy for healthy, vibrant aging.
1. What is the "Inner Child" for a Senior?
The "Inner Child" represents our capacity for awe, creativity, and pure joy that often gets buried under decades of responsibility. In your 60s, 70s, and beyond, reuniting with this part of yourself can lower blood pressure and significantly reduce feelings of isolation.
Curiosity Over Judgment: Children don't ask if a hobby is "productive." They do it because it’s fascinating.
